Senior Pilates Instructor, Barre and Yoga Instructor

Background

Growing up as a gymnast and dancer, Chelsea has always been passionate about movement. When she became pregnant with her first child, she realized how beneficial the Pilates method was for core strength and alignment. She was Balanced Body certified in 2012 and continued her education with a barre certification in 2014. She recently also finalized a yoga certification specializing in Bhakti Vinyasa. She is an avid runner and incorporates Paleo cooking into her every day life.
Through her five years of teaching, she has refined her style to be both fun and challenging for her students, and aims to energize them to reach their maximum potential. Chelsea believes through breath and functional movement one can achieve balance and peace of mind.

Why I Teach

I teach because it is my passion to inspire people and help them achieve their goals. One of the most rewarding things in my life has been helping others realize the personal transformation possibilities that connecting with their bodies through physical fitness can provide.

Why I Teach Pilates

I teach Pilates because this time-tested fitness method is a miracle worker. The combination of alignment and breath precision can help transform your mind and body. Focusing on core strength and stability, Pilates is accessible to everyone. Why I Teach Barre

I teach barre because it’s a blast! It’s so energizing for the student and the teacher. Growing up as a dancer it brings me back to my roots. Any exercise regimen where you can dance, let loose and have fun is liberating. And, it’s a fantastic workout.

Why I Teach Yoga

I teach yoga to help people connect with each-other and with themselves. My daily practice helps me “be the best me”. I feel it is my job to help guide others in connection with mind, body, and spirit. Allowing yourself to live day-to-day, with no judgement, and no ego. Yoga is a never ending journey with endless possibilities.

Fact. I'm obsessed with Maiden Lane Studios. Not in the creepy, restraining order type of way...but in the go 6-times a week type of way. I'll be honest, I never truly got the whole barre craze...until coming here. The classes are amazing (to the credit of the kick-ass instructors), and the studio is absolutely beautiful.

Maiden Lane Studios is the absolute best for Pilates and Barre Classes in San Francisco. I was introduced to the studio last year through lululemon and so glad I found my go-to place for an incredible strength training workout. It's like you're in someone's living room as the decor and feel of the place is so gorgeous and inviting.

I've tried other barre classes in the city and felt bored because they seemed the same, class after class. Not here. Every class challenges you and each instructor has something great to offer. I also LOVE that they offer more than just barre. Yoga, check. Pilates, check. It's a dream studio come true.

I have some very specific needs and have been challenged and accommodated beyond my expectations. Would never consider anywhere else...They create a supportive and positive environment unlike any other studio I've tried. Love it here!

Wow. I'm *STILL* feeling pumped 4 hours after my first Booty Barre class this morning! This studio is fantastic and booty barre is seriously fun. I'd definitely recommend taking the 8:30am class with Naimah. She's an awesome teacher and totally kept me motivated throughout the class (even when it was kicking my ass). Excited to make visits here a regular part of my workout week!
