Titans veteran Wesley Woodyard believes every linebacker could benefit from some yoga.
That doesn’t quite seem to jibe considering one of the tenets of the game is to be ultra-aggressive, never backing down. Yoga has made impressive inroads in the NFL.
Woodyard is one of several players who are using yoga to help them physically and mentally prepare for and deal with the violent collisions of pro football.
“When you play linebacker and your job is to do nothing but tackle, you tend to have a few misaligned bones in your back and rib area. Which can cause back pain,” the eight-year veteran says.
