MLS just finished up a high energy weekend with Tracey Mallet in our first Booty Barre® instructor training. The Booty Barre® is new to San Francisco and Maiden Lane Studios is proud to be the first to offer this ballet barre based full body workout. Ballet barre classes are typically associated with dance techniques and sequencing, but even the novice non-dancer will get an effective workout from this form of exercise. If you are not new to the barre based fitness regime, it can be noted that not all barre based methods are created equal. The Booty Barre® is different in that it combines the toning benefits of Pilates, yoga, and dance to stretch and strengthen the body. Booty Barre® does not rely solely on isometric contractions of the muscles and utilizes more functional, fluid movements, which more closely mimic how we move in real life. This creates strength, flexibility, and helps prevent injuries. And because of fuller movements and range of motion in these classes, there will be a greater aerobic impact on your body, thereby burning more calories. Additionally, the more dancer-like movements in The Booty Barre® make the classes fun and engaging. It is a complete workout from head to toe. The Booty Barre® helps clients develop strength in all parts of the body, burn calories, tone muscles, and improve coordination, balance, and flexibility.
Maiden Lane Studios limits our Booty Barre® class size to 12 people, less than half of what other studios allow. We are committed to personalized attention and maintaining the safety and effectiveness of each session for our clients.
Maiden Lane Studios is partnering with Calvin Klein Performance (320 Grant Ave, San Francisco) and are offering free Booty Barre® classes at the CKP store before the full launch of the studio, June 1, 2012. Do not miss out on these limited classes, May 16 & 17 at 10:30am, and May 21 at 4:30pm.
